Sruta Vootukuru is the vice president of business development and operations of Sling TV. The arrival of Sling TV escorted a new era in the pay-TV industry, in many ways because of Sruta's leadership. As the lead for Business Development, Operations, Customer Service, Partner Relationships and strategic priorities and initiatives, she paved the way for innovative partnership, technologies and operational practices within Sling TV.
In addition to her role at Sling TV, Sruta recently completed the Colorado Governors Fellowship Program, an 8-month program that engages business and nonprofit leaders into Colorado public policy. She plays a tremendous role in DISH Women’s Network and actively participates in career discussions, networking sessions and leadership events. Sruta was named one of Cablefax’s “Most Powerful Women” in 2016 and “Most Innovative People in Multiscreen” in 2017.
Sruta has previously held positions in Operations, Strategy, Marketing and Business Development in several industries including CPG, retail, financial services, biomedical and medical devices. Born and raised in India, she holds a biomedical and electrical engineering degree from Case Western Reserve University and earned an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University.
