A veteran media and advertising executive, Warren Schlichting is executive vice president of Programming, Marketing and Media Sales for both DISH and Sling TV. He oversees the acquisition and renewal of all programming content, including national networks and cable channels, local broadcast stations and premium services such as HBO, Showtime and Starz. Additionally, as head of marketing, Warren oversees customer acquisition efforts across DISH and Sling TV, and directs advertising sales for both entities.
Prior to joining DISH in 2011, Warren led Comcast’s advanced advertising efforts on multiple media and ad delivery platforms including broadband, interactive television and video-on-demand. Before arriving at Comcast, he was chief executive officer of Hiwire, a Los Angeles-based technology company that provided online ad replacement software for ClearChannel and other radio station groups. He also served in executive positions for Morgan Stanley and the William E. Simon private equity group.
Warren has received numerous accolades for his successful career in the pay-TV industry, including CableFAX’s Top 100 Power Players, the publication's Most Innovative People in Multiscreen and Cable Advertising Bureau’s President’s awards.
Warren has been a frequent guest speaker and panelist on the topics of advanced television and the future of video at conferences and industry events throughout the country. He has served on several boards, including the IAB and the International Radio & Television Society, a group dedicated to increasing diversity in the media industry.
Warren graduated with a degree in Economics from Harvard University, and enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, as well as fly fishing, hunting, hiking and mountain biking.
