Suresh Somasundaram

As Senior Vice President of Software Engineering for Sling TV, Suresh Somasundaram oversees SLING engineering and operations, working directly with the SLING Product team to create a first-class experience for our customers.
Suresh’s 20-plus-year career spans the globe and various industries. Before joining DISH, Suresh served as Senior Vice President, 5G Platform and Cloud Engineering, for Mavenir where he was responsible for the strategy and engineering of the web-scale platform enabling 5G products. His skills and expertise span a wide range of topics including video products, software engineering, cloud technologies, 5G services, connectivity and more.
Previously, he was Vice President of Software Engineering at Charter Communications responsible for developing and scaling video products, content delivery platforms, connectivity services, managing cloud infrastructure, and shared services. Earlier, he held technology leadership roles at Infosys developing consumer products and enterprise applications while serving DIRECTV, Cablevision, Comcast, and AOL.
